Beware The Popcorn!!

In my Twenty plus Years of practicing dentistry, popcorn or the uncooked kernels hidden among the cooked ones are the Number #1 tooth breakers. I enjoy a warm buttery bag at the movies like most everyone, please beware that the extremely hard uncooked kernels lurk among the cooked ones or popped ones and chomping down hard and fast through a seemly cooked(popped) kernel there may be a hard uncooked(un-popped) kernel, that may or may not break your un-expecting tooth. Breaking a tooth on popcorn can be very expensive to restore, most require a crown or cap to fix the fracture in the tooth.
